P/O Brad Fox & P/O Brian Lorenzo Charity Hockey Invitational
On Saturday December 15, 2012, PPD Hockey participated in the First Annual Brad Fox & Brian Lorenzo Charity Invitational at the Northeast Flyers Skatezone. This event raised money for the families of 2 police officers killed in the line of duty in 2012. The event included three hockey games, with PPD Hockey taking on the Phila. Fire Dept. in the main event. The game was quite physical and saw some fisticuffs as well. Stellar play by goaltender Mike Proud (#34) and the defense held the Fire team to only 2 goals, and the PPD offense capitalized on their scoring chances. Final Score: PPD Hockey 9 – Philly Fire 2.

Cops for K.O.P.S.
PPD Hockey played in the Cops for K.O.P.S. Charity Hockey game on Dec. 1, 2012 vs PA State and Local Police at the Giant Center in Hershey PA. PPD Hockey won the game 11-2. More importantly, the event raised money for the charity and honored fallen heroes who were killed in the line of duty.

Game for Tommy Luke

On September 29, 2012 we participated in a charity game against the Philadelphia Honor to raise money for Tommy Luke, the son of a Philadelphia Police Officer. Tommy is a 6 year old with cystic fibrosis and is in need of a liver transplant. A great crowd came out to support Tommy and watch some good hockey. Tommy had an awesome time, and was even surprised by his favorite superhero, Batman.
